Mario welcomes you

Welcome to Gen-N!

As founder, I would like to extend my warmest greeting to you. Gen-N, a site wholly dedicated to Nintendo and its products, has launched on this November 21st of 2004, the day the Nintendo DS gets released to the public for the first time.

This may not be your first time to a Gen-N website. If it is, I would like to mention that this is in fact our fourth official launch. If you would like to read a brief history of the previous versions, head to the 'About' section by using the site menu located to the left of the layout.

If this is not your first time at Gen-N, I'd like to welcome you back from a long vacation. So what's different this time, you veterans ask? This time the site didn't get a visual overhaul, the difference is in the content. Over the next few weeks, you'll see the difference in our content first-hand.

One notable feature is our revamped and unique review system. We call it the dual-layered review system, or DL. To read about the system, head on to the 'About Gen-N' section. This DL review system is the reason why Gen-N has launched on this day. It's in commemoration of Nintendo's latest entry in their array of gaming systems, the Nintendo DS. Our first review will be coming shortly.

In the meantime, a new feature, the Eagle Eye, is born on Gen-N. Check out the first edition, featuring Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, by clicking on the 'Currently Hot' link on the right side of the layout. In addition, the new 'Did You Know?' feature will be updated regularly to fill you in on tidbits of information that may be of interest to you. The latest edition can be accessed straight above the aforementioned 'Currently Hot' section on the right of the layout.

So, to readers both new and old, welcome and I hope you enjoy what we will be offering in our time online.
